For God and Country
Since 1938 the James H. Anderson Post 1199 has had a rich history in Orangeburg NY. Our Legionnaires are upstanding members of the community in which we live and have served our country in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf & Iraqi Wars.
Community:
Our post strives to improve the community we live in. We do this by participating in local Veteran Memorial Services, contributing to local charities, and through our community service award, the Thomas J Meyer Scholarship Fund. In addition, every December we host a holiday party for the veteran patients at Rockland State Hospital. Post 1199 is also the proud host to the Pearl River Little League at Anderson Field.
